You’re joining a team of hundreds of dedicated non-profit staff members\, city workers and volunteers who are committed to making sure the African American communities in SF are celebrated during the Juneteenth Freedom Day Weekend!\n\nPlease be sure to read guidelines & instructions in entirety as well as include any important information\, we’ll need to set the team up for supreme success (in this form). We are ecstatic to do great things with you all… Happy Freedom Day Folks!\n\nPLEASE NOTE: The deadline to sign up to Volunteer is 11:59PM on June 10th\, 2026. THIS GOOGLE FORM IS NOT BEING MONITORED FOR UPDATES BETWEEN JUNE 13th-20th\, 2026. If you would like to volunteer at the Juneteenth Parade but did not register\, please feel free to show up on event day and let us know that you came to support upon your arrival!\n\n*There is extremely limited parking available\, and all volunteers are encouraged to take public transit to the event.\n\nJuneteenth Volunteer Requirements: \n\n\n\nMost of the volunteer roles require long periods of standing and/or walking.\n\n\nAll volunteers are expected to stay the full duration of their shift (4 hours including breaks) – please be sure to only select a shift that you can fully commit to on the day of the event.\n\nIf you have any physical or dietary restrictions\, please be sure to notify us in advance.\n\n  \n\n\n\n\nParade Information & Know Before you Go\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are the expectations along the parade route?  Can lawn chairs or other seating be set up along Market Street?\nLawn chairs and/or folding chairs can be setup along the parade route\nShould parade attendees proceed to specific areas to watch the parade? \nAttendees are welcome to watch from any spot along Market\, but specific locations can be reserved for community groups as well. If you are interested\, please reach out to info.burgesllc@gmail.com\nAre there any items parade attendees should not bring?  Will there be bag checks or other safety checks along the parade route\, as seen at other large scale events? \nAs with other large scale events there will be both private security and police presence along the route.  While we cannot prohibit items on public streets\, it is strongly encouraged to leave large bags and wheeled devices at home (scooters\, one-wheels\, skateboards\, etc).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
