To participate, all performers must meet the following eligibility requirements:
– You must be able to hold your one day event insurance with the city.
– You must be able to submit a bio and headshot of your program, performance, or individually to participate.
– If you’re using a vehicle, you must provide vehicle insurance and one day event insurance coverage.
– If using a motorcycle, you must provide motorcycle insurance and one day event insurance coverage.

Volunteer at the Juneteenth Parade!

Most of the volunteer roles require long periods of standing and/or walking.

All volunteers are expected to stay the full duration of their shift (4 hours including breaks) – please be sure to only select a shift that you can fully commit to on the day of the event.
- If you have any physical or dietary restrictions, please be sure to notify us in advance.
Parade Information & Know Before you Go
- What are the expectations along the parade route? Can lawn chairs or other seating be set up along Market Street?
Lawn chairs and/or folding chairs can be setup along the parade route - Should parade attendees proceed to specific areas to watch the parade?
Attendees are welcome to watch from any spot along Market, but specific locations can be reserved for community groups as well. If you are interested, please reach out to info.burgesllc@gmail.com - Are there any items parade attendees should not bring? Will there be bag checks or other safety checks along the parade route, as seen at other large scale events?
As with other large scale events there will be both private security and police presence along the route. While we cannot prohibit items on public streets, it is strongly encouraged to leave large bags and wheeled devices at home (scooters, one-wheels, skateboards, etc).
